HAGO L&F

Company Overview

HAGO, an e-commerce company that runs a rising fashion platform, connects brands and consumers online and distributes high-quality products online.

It is an online curation platform that introduces fashion and lifestyle products both domestically and internationally, and we also operate a funding project that produces the promised amount of funding and proposes the best quality to consumers.

The Challenge

Customers have been operating fashion platforms in an On-premise environment, but they have no professional infrastructure personnel and are struggling with management due to lack of technical support.

If the On-premise environment is maintained, initial investment in user growth must be made again, and service interruption is inevitable in the event of a failure because the database consists of IaaS. In addition, database scaling is not possible due to the limitations of existing systems, such as slow response times and inability to connect to sites, so DB load affects the overall service.

AWS role

Customers chose AWS because it is the cloud platform used by the largest number of e-commerce companies, the stability and availability of Web and DB servers are the most important factors, and RDS provides Scale-Up/Down reservation settings.
Customers don’t have cloud experts, so they can consult with their partners.
Infrastructure configured in an On-premise environment is optimized for cloud environments in a Reflecting manner.

After setting up the initial development server first, it was easy to distribute the production server after sufficient testing.

Traditional On-premise environments do not provide availability, so Web servers are distributed in the availability area to ensure availability, and Database uses relational database RDS for MySQL to ensure fast performance, high availability, and scalability.
EC2 Scale-out for large-scale events, and RDS provides stable services through Scale-Up that do not burden the system even when the number of contacts increases. RDS Scale-Up/Down was able to proceed without any problems at dawn without affecting the service through the reservation function.

The Benefits

When customers switch to the cloud, they reduce initial investment costs and save an additional 20-30% through RI after service stabilization.

Although RDS Scale-Up is used for large events, it saves a lot of time by working less than five minutes, and after the event, you can pay as much as you spend through Scale-down.
